8-22-13 What A Mighty God We Serve!
The verse of the day on Biblegateway today was this Romans 8:31-33More Than Conquerors31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.
The other verse today that brought me comfort was Psalm 89[a]1 I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations.2 I will declare that your love stands firm forever, that you have established your faithfulness in heaven itself.Our God has been faithful always not because of anything we have done or can do but because of who He is. We have ourselves aligned with the creator of the world who should we fear! I have been so uplifted by the prayers of others who have heard of our diagnoses. It is so awesome to know we have so many who love us and others who don't even know us or all the details that are standing in the gap for us as we wait, pray, and trust. I deal somewhat with panic issues with all this uncertainity about everything. But even in that I know that God is greater. We have decided to go home with Dad today and spend the weekend in Indiana with Mike following after work tomorrow. We will spend some time with family and are getting anointed on Sunday, August 25th at South Lake. We would love healing for our baby but more than that we want God's will and God's glory. We want the passion and trust that we are relying on so strongly to radiate out of us into all those who we have contact with!
