Awesome God!!!

We will praise His name again and again!
 Psalms 66:8 "Praise our God, all peoples, let the sound of his praise be heard;he has preserved our lives  and kept our feet from slipping.10 For you, God, tested us;  you refined us like silver.11 You brought us into prison and laid burdens on our backs.12 You let people ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance."
We have had a week of shock and news we never expected to hear, but through it we praised God because He is good and faithful. Ephesians 3:20-21 says "20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." We will praise Him! He is working in us and through us and He hears and has heard our prayers! Addie's heart is fine! The valves and chambers look good! The blood flow looked good! Everything appears to be in working order. The concerns about placement and tilting of it were of no concern as they studied it! The doctor said there is no concern for her heart as far as she could see and no need to see us again!!!! God has touched her! We prayed, we cried, and He has answered more than we know and can see but here is a glimpse of His wonderful Healing power! How wonderful is our God! His mercy and grace can reach into the womb and heal that which is being knit together! Now we wait to see what else He has done and is doing on and through our precious Addie! The times that were shared in prayer and praise this weekend have already had a huge and visible impact on Addie. Those are the things that matter more than any appointment we have. The time we take to meet and spend with the Creator and Maker of all is what will pull us through and it is what will have the most impact on Addie's life!
  I have a routine OB appointment this Thursday and a follow-up with the specialist from last week on Sept. 9th. Keep the prayers coming God is hearing and He is answering! I will leave you with Addie's verses Psalms 139:13-14 "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." He has healed her heart the inmost of her and is continuing the knitting of her arms and legs! Doctors may be uncertain of the cause or full condition but God is God and He is the one doing the creating!

Healing God

1 Timothy 6: 12Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 13 In the sight of God, who gives life to everything

I read these verses dealing with our faith Wednesday and was reminded once again how much of a battle we are in for our faith. Then today again I was struck with the battle of it. Since we have heard of Addie's struggles I have had no problems trusting God. He gave me life and He gave her life. If He is the giver of life how much more must He care than I care. I love that about Him how we cannot even comprehend how much He feels for us. It has been an emotional weekend though. We went back home to Indiana to get anointed at our home church where both Mike and I had grown up and our families still attend. We got anointed for healing for our little Addie. We are fighting daily to hold onto the promises of God and not get lost in the day to day struggles or adjust our focus from what really has eternal consequences . The anointing service yesterday was so powerful and God's Spirit was so prevelant moving in the hearts of so many. We were surrounded by so many family members and friends, crying out to God with earnest hearts as it says in Jeremiah 29:12-14a "Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the Lord." We found God Saturday with the family singing, praising, praying and He was found again on Sunday morning as we worshiped Him in His sanctuary at South Lake.  Pastor shared the verses from James 5:13" Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective." And we are holding on in faith that God has heard our cries on behalf of Addie as they went up from the church at South Lake, our church in Peoria, the church in Columbus where my cousin was anointed on Sunday for healing for Addie, and from all the others where Addie's story has been shared. God is and will answer our prayers as we cry out to Him. He is a loving God and cannot help but come to those who earnestly seek Him. As we seek Him we pray for healing and to see His power but more than that we want to see His glory, in Matthew we are told to pray for His kingdom to come and His will to be done. So we have called and will continue to call on our Father God in Heaven for His power, presence, and will to be done in our family and in Addie's life. We head to the cardiologist appointment tomorrow joyfully anticipating and expecting to see God working in our little girl. God's ways may not always be our ways but as Deuteronomy 32:4 says "He is the Rock, His works are perfect, and all His ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is He." So we will continue praying, hoping and trusting for that is what faith is and we are living on faith and faith alone. Faith in God is what gives us not only peace as we pass through this time but joy and the ability to praise the One who holds us in His hands.

                             8-22-13 What A Mighty God We Serve!


The verse of the day on Biblegateway today was this Romans 8:31-33More Than Conquerors31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.
The other verse today that brought me comfort was Psalm 89[a]I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever;    with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known    through all generations.I will declare that your love stands firm forever,    that you have established your faithfulness in heaven itself.Our God has been faithful always not because of anything we have done  or can do but because of who He is. We have ourselves aligned with the creator of the world who should we fear! I have been so uplifted by the prayers of others who have heard of our diagnoses. It is so awesome to know we have so many who love us and others who don't even know us or all the details that are standing in the gap for us as we wait, pray, and trust. I deal somewhat with panic issues with all this uncertainity about everything. But even in that I know that God is greater. We have decided to go home with Dad today and spend the weekend in Indiana with Mike following after work tomorrow. We will spend some time with family and are getting anointed on Sunday, August 25th at South Lake. We would love healing for our baby but more than that we want God's will and God's glory. We want the passion and trust that we are relying on so strongly to radiate out of us into all those who we have contact with!

                               8-21-13 Hurting but Trusting

Today we went for a loop we were not expecting. We had been sent to a specialist for the possibility of a club foot on Addie and so we went to have it checked out to find out that Addie not only has severely clubbed feet but they will require surgery shortly after birth. She also has some deformities on her arms. Therefore all limbs are affected making it appear to be some sort of genetic issue but as of now they are uncertain of what it is. They also saw some concern with the placement of her heart and we are being sent to a Cardiologist specialist next Tuesday. Once we know what the heart issue is we can either begin testing to narrow down the possible genetic issues or we can wait until she is born because it will not change the course of action during the pregnancy. There is a problem with the placement of the placenta that could cause lack of blood and size restrictions to her growth which may lead to different actions as the time goes; for now the doctors are going to keep a close eye on that issue. We see the specialist again in 3 weeks on Sept 10 to re-check the amniotic fluid due to placenta placement. We will have a carefully watched pregnancy and some difficulties afterwards. While we are heartbroken for our baby girl and the struggles we will have, we are holding on to the Lord and His promises for us and for her. 
Psalms 139:13-14  For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;  your works are wonderful, I know that full well

Whatever we may face God knit her together just as He knit each of us and she is no less wonderful or precious.
